Valentine's favors have a long history dating back to times. The tradition of exchanging small gifts or tokens of affection on Valentine's Day can be traced back to the Roman festival of Lupercalia. During this festival, men would draw the names of women from a container and become their romantic partners for the duration of the festival. These partnerships often led to marriage. As Christianity spread, the holiday became associated with Saint Valentine, a priest who secretly performed marriages for soldiers forbidden to marry. Over time, the tradition of exchanging Valentine's favors evolved into a way to express love and affection towards loved ones. Today, it is common to give favors such as chocolates, flowers, cards, and small gifts as a symbol of love on Valentine's Day.
