In this hands-on lesson, students will explore how rocks and minerals are used in everything from buildings and roads to electronics, cosmetics, medicine, and food production. We’ll break down the three major rock types within the rock cycle including igneous, sedimentary, and metamorphic, and explain where and how they form, helping students clearly understand where rocks are found and how Earth processes continuously recycle them.
