About Sodalite Syenite:
Sodalite Syenite is a unique igneous rock rich in sodalite and feldspar, famously known under several trade names including Flame Stone, Dragon Stone, and Yooperlite which is a trademarked term for the Sodalite Syenite that comes from upper Michigan. because of its fiery glow under UV light. Naturally gray to charcoal in daylight, this stone transforms under longwave UV into brilliant streaks and patches of orange or yellow fluorescence, creating a dramatic “flame” effect that has made it a favorite among collectors. Famously from the Great Lakes region and parts of Canada but also found in India and China Sodalite Syenite is often carved or polished to showcase its contrasting textures and glowing inclusions.
